EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

What's been your most rewarding project(s) while at your firm?
Years ago, we started work on a NBA Practice Facility for the Minnesota Timberwolves. That project was fun, but it lead to a much bigger opportunity designing all the signage, branding opportunities and sponsorship opportunities for the renovation of the Target Center.
This was a very large project with lots of folks involved- from the design team to the ownership group. It was incredibly challenging, but rewarding. That project has led to a great client/designer relationship and more projects coming our way. It's just a great example of how hard work leads to bigger and better things.
Most interesting place you've traveled for work?
This is a tough one. I love going to college campuses. I just love the vibe. I will say this, I try and get out and run wherever I go. I told myself a long time ago that I was not going to let work travel get in the way of exercise. It keeps me in shape, but has also led to some of the coolest moments in my travel. Running through Notre Dame's campus as the early morning fog lifts, watching dolphins jump in the water off the coast of Tampa and taking in the tourist on the Highline in NYC... anywhere you go can be memorable.
What inspires you about your profession?
It's just changes ALL the time. It totally keeps me on my toes and I feel like I am still learning things even after all this time. With technology, the possibilities are really endless and I feel like we can reinvent WOW every time we look at a space. I get to go to work every day and be an artist, architect, product designer and graphic designer... all before noon. What 's not to like?
