"I’m inspired by the gratification that comes with translating a client’s vision into something tangible."
Rashed Singaby
SENIOR PROJECT DESIGNER
HOK

What's been your most rewarding project(s) while at your firm?
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia.
The complexity and scale of Mercedes-Benz Stadium provided an opportunity to learn how a project of such a large scale comes together and how we leverage design to tell a broader story about an organization and its trajectory. The experience gained through coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team, including both HOK’s engineers and Buro Happold, to design the largest, and first, halo video board in the world was impactful.
In addition, we designed and built a complex and incredibly innovative retractable roof. These key design elements were first of their kind, which meant we did extensive research and leveraged technical expertise. This process helped shape and mature my identity as an architect.
Most interesting place you've traveled for work?
Cairo, Egypt
Being my hometown, it was special to go back with the opportunity to design a 45,000 seat stadium in the capital.
What inspires you about your profession?
I’m inspired by the gratification that comes with translating a client’s vision into something tangible. We shape the spaces that influence the behavior of those using them, and in turn contribute to shaping the culture, and values of the societies we live in.
