"No two projects are ever the same and this keeps me grounded and looking forward to the next day."
SR. PROJECT MANAGER
UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS
What's been your most rewarding project(s) while at your firm?
I have spent my career on projects that have all had longer durations, averaging two years or more. They have all had a substantial impact on the community or industry making each of them rewarding. These projects have ranged from community centers where families can enjoy amenities to research facilities advancing treatments to improve the lives of everyone in our communities. The projects I have been a part of have been once in a lifetime type projects, impacting the community. This impact can be seen in the smiles and joy these projects bring to families and hope for treatments to unfortunate illnesses that exist around us.
Most interesting place you've traveled for work?
I’ve been fortunate to travel to different parts of the country and different places in North America due to work. There isn’t one place that stands out more than the rest but I like making visits to different manufacturing facilities and understanding their process and supply chain. I’ve been able to look at facilities ranging from unitized curtainwall and glass, laboratory casework and tops and mechanical equipment.
What inspires you about design or your field?
The constant change. Every day is different with new challenges and obstacles. No two projects are ever the same and this keeps me grounded and looking forward to the next day.
